Unless im unaware 2A7V does have the same power pack that STRV122 has, which means 1500hp so its gonna be worse than 122’s in terms of mobility because of weight increase.
So the abrams x and T-14 allowed but not EMBT, ASCALON 140, Leclerc XLR or KF51, the future looks bright for germany and france :)
All leopards 2s are using engines from the 1500HP MTU diesel series, the only differences are in transmissions and the additional powerpacks on testbeds like the PSO and 2A6EX

You do realize gaijin straight up refused to tweak gear ratios in order to match with 2A4 acceleration right?
Current 2A7V not only accelerate worse but also does have worse top speed due to Gaijin.
I dont think it will be different when Sweden reiceve 2A8.
2A8s have been confirmed to have a more powerful engine.

There is multiple different ones saying yes others no.
Honestly its a detail we wont know for sure until the first 2a8 with specs exists.

Gaijin routinely adds vehicles that there is no evidence that they even underwent trials, let alone entered service. however, that’s almost universally to the russian and chinese trees, so sweden might miss out.
Sweden literaly has the biggest number of unfair fake implementation vehicles in the game lol.
Still point stands sweden should not receive 2a8s st the same time as germany.
Their tree needs it the least, with modifcations and camo there is nothing to model it after etc etc.
Either the 2a8 comes years after its in service time and gets handed out to all user nations

The only countries buying KF-51 is Hungary and Italy. I can totally see gaijin pulling what they did with the KF-41
If gaijin can find a way of wriggling out of giving Germany it’s premier MBT after the Leopards then i’d be shocked, people where already dosgruntled by the KF-41 controversy
Germanys premier MBTs are in fact the Leopard 2A8 and Leopard 2A7A1, they just ordered a bunch of them.
Because the KF-51 still consists of nearly entirely German parts, they use Leo 2 hulls or Lynx hulls, german guns, german optics, german loitering munitions, german powerpack…
I’m not saying it shouldn’t go to those who pre-ordered them but it a bit rich to expect Germany not to receive one if the flimsy justification that they haven’t ordered any yet
Unless the german MOD is super stingy, I don’t see them not investing in a next generation MBT, although between KF-51 and an ASCALON armed EMBT I’m unsure which they’d pick.
The Leopard 2A8 won’t have a ton of longevity if russia or china rolls out a new next-gen MBT, since european defense spending seems to revolve around the progress of eastern defense projects
