A Centurion chassis with a BR of 9.3? Facing pitiful T-72A/B tanks? I’m talking about the notoriously infamous Strv 105, known for being catastrophic. Honestly, I really wonder who at Gaijin thought that the Strv 105 deserved a BR of 9.3. It is slow, unarmored, and its weaponry, although decent, is unusable on an obsolete platform. One of the worst BRs for zero mobility. The armor itself isn’t what causes the problem; it could pass since no tank is truly very well armored at this BR, but the issue lies in its lack of mobility, an asset that almost all tanks at this level have, with a few exceptions. Even the Olifant Mk 2, despite being heavily criticized, is far better. The Olifant Mk 2 has superior frontal armor, sometimes capable of resisting APFSDS rounds, and much greater mobility. Both tanks have the same armament. In summary, the Strv 105 clearly deserves a maximum BR of 9.0, and the Shot Kal Dalet a BR of 8.7, quite simply.
Wow, it’s almost like the STRV 105 has a good dart, thermals, an LRF, era, and an upgraded engine compared to the 104 and 101 at their lower BRs. It makes sense at 9.3.
You dare to speak without having played it, so your comment is useless. And to respond to your mistakes: all tanks at this BR have a laser rangefinder and also first-generation thermals, except in very rare cases. So no, 9.3 is not consistent.
Could be 9.0 for sure.
And speaking of the Strv 104, which you also haven’t played, it should deserve a BR of 8.3. Let me explain: I’ll take the Olifant 1A as an example—it’s at 8.3, but strangely it has the same mobility and the same firepower. The only thing that puts the Strv 104 literally 0.3 BR higher, which is clearly not justified, is the addition of “Blazer” ERA armor. Does Blazer ERA actually do anything at this BR? The answer is: it’s useless , so I don’t really understand.
Then , the Strv 104 at the same BR as the Sho’t Kal Gimel have it’s a bit more mobile, its turret rotation is better, and it has a 12.7 mm on the roof. On top of that, it also has the same ERA but better distributed—though given its usefulness, it’s not really worth mentioning. so shot kal gimel better
To conclude: Strv 105 at 9.0, Strv 104 at 8.3, Sho’t Kal Dalet at 8.7.
Olifant Mk.1 is rather criminal at 8.3 though. If anything it goes to 8.7 instead.
i mean the 103 c is 9.0
That thing should be 8.7.
Its so dead at 9.0.
Supposedly. In function its extra armour means nothing. Great dart tho
I totaly agree
so t55 criminal
Meta round, thermals, laser range finder, and funniest of all the Centurion’s mobility over-performs in War Thunder by almost double according to Swedish trial data.
Compression, NEXT!
lmao
Gonna be real it’s still pretty mid, it’s part compression but also being slow AF and having just terrible maps for the majority of its use, it’s a sniper that’s too slow to runaway 90% of the time.
Some people like it and other not so much. Personally I’d never take it over the Leo or literally any other 9.3 hell I’d say the CV90105 TML is a better tank than the Strv 105.
I just prefer my snipers to not have light tank armor while having heavy armor type speeds.
The only upsides to it are it’s thermals and round. The turret traverse, speed, armor, ect all just make more downsides than positives.
this guy has a 5.3 K/D on his Strv 105 and still wants it to go down, he must want to butcher more poor souls at 8.0 without stabilizer nor LRF nor Gen 1 thermals.
Eh, I’d say I’d rather see majority KD rather than one person, I have a solid KD on the KV-220 but I wouldn’t mind it moving down or getting like 1 sec removed from the reload and keeping it at 6.0
135mm pen ain’t bad but armor can only get you so far when most tanks with more armor and pen out reload you.
What compression?
9.3 has no compression, and if Strv 105 moved up, so would all other 9.3s, and if they moved up everything 6.7 and higher would move up too.
Strv 105 is not a “sniper”, it’s an MBT.
All 9.0s without exception are inferior to Strv 105 and other 9.3s.
