No, it’s not. One of the worst FMs in the entire game relative to BR. Pretty much any gen3/gen4 can tear this thing a new one.
I remember when Tornado IDS MFG was 10.7 or 10.3, I don’t remember exactly, then Gaijin moved it up, that thing is unplayable.
Even a Mig-23BN can out dogfight it, and that thing is not that good.
@Morvran You are correct on this. It doesn’t have any internal CMs or guns. The BOZ pods, guns, and 9Ls all share the same pylon, so if you want a gun, and CMs you only get 2 9Ls and 2 9Js.
This is needed for all planes, and it makes zero sense why it isn’t in game. If we are sending planes fully into combat, wouldn’t combat thrust be unlocked?

This is your average loadout, its very underwhelming for air especially when you’re less agile than a Mirage IIIE which is 10.3, would hwlp if gaijin corrected their weight considering they are heavier than in real life but common sweden air L as per usual

Yep, which is why its fine at 11.0 whilst the Tornado IDS is at 11.3. Relative to each other, its about right
You cant bomb anyways at 11.0 it was 11.3 on release and was worthless, poor flight performance (standard for the viggens) and sub par weapons.
You need all 4 inner pylons for one base, so no CM’s…
You have to play as a fighter thats worse than most fighters…
Gaijin could buff it and give it wingtip RB74 if they wanna change its BR. IRL RB74 worked on the the outer pylons but SAAB was worried that their increased weight would cause stress over time requiring more maintenance.

That’s way too reserve, the Tornado IDS (excluding the SLE and GR.4) are far inferior to the MiG-21’s you can find at 11.0, the vehicle could easily go down to 10.7. As for why it should move down a BR or two is for the fact that we’ve got both the MiG-23MLD at 11.7 and MiG-25PD at 11.0 which set a precedent for why the Tornado IDS shouldn’t really be any higher than 11.0 at the absolute maximum.
Sure, you get the AIM-9L, but it’s nowhere as good as it used to be on the Harrier GR.7 on introduction. The missile simply has fallen from grace. Fixed bug reports may levy the imbalanced position all Tornado’s in-game are in, but that’s just on the wishful coping side of things, even with buffs and fixed I could only really see something like the Tornado GR.1 being 11.3 at the maximum.
For example, the MiG-23MLD does everything the Tornado IDS does but better, it can take out one entire base and will get to a base before you do (including the ML), it of course can carry the R-24R which are excellent SARH missiles, and has the ability to be equipped with 4x all-aspect missiles. The Tornado only has the advantage of being able to take out 1.5 more bases than it (both share the same BR fyi).
Main thing is they are fast compared to other base bombers and at 10.7 it’s blatantly unfair for a lot of vehicles
10.7 MiG-21’s will still be able to get to a base before you and take them entirely out.

Is pretty much the only reason for them to not be 11.0. Though some of the 10.7 ground attackers I dont think actually are 10.7 worthy anymore either.

Which is good, why would we need a MiG-21 with the ability to take out all the bases in-game? The Tornado IDS is a interdictor whilst the MiG-21 is a interceptor. For Air RB however it doesn’t matter but you do usually see more than two MiG-21’s base bombing anyways.
Tbf if I see a fighter carrying bombs or other strike aircraft and I’m not in a F111F or Tornado I give up trying to base bomb and just play as a fighter
