It’s honestly strange that almost 4 years have passed since the Strela-10M2 passive detection system was reported and accepted, and nothing has happened.
What bothers me most is the inconsistency. Vehicles like the Ozelot or Stormer got their search and target acquisition systems implemented, while the Strela is still missing a documented capability that has been acknowledged by the developers for years.
I’m not even asking when it will be added anymore. I’d just like to know what happened. Was the report dropped? Is it technically impossible to implement? Or was it simply forgotten?
Four years of silence after an accepted report is a bit hard to understand.
