Depends on the BR of the PzH 2000, if high br more likely itll have more open maps.
This is going to be the first, truly competitive jet that was actually flown and operated by Britain in about 2-3 years?
Forgive us for being happy to finally not be playing with a handicap. (even when you include the Gripen, the R-Darters require serious handholding)
Competitive? Gripen just doesnt exist i guess? You could say after ARH it wasn’t as Competitive but thats a blatant lie to ignore that it was a strong jet on launch.
Again. Wasnt actually flown or operated by Britain. Last time I can think of that Britain got something really good at launch that was actually operated by the RAF was the Harrier Gr7 and only till the F-16 was added 2 months later
and even then. The lack of any form of BVR on the Gripen for the first 6 months made it quite dull for me and even though it does now have usable BVR. R-Darter is quite a major handicap
Technically the Gripen was, its used to train pilots at one of the british Flight schools. Still has the swedish tri crown on it.
Yeah, kinda, not the RAF/RN though.
Given all the pains we’ve gone through with the SHars and Tornados its gunna be nice to get something really good.
Well, until the US mains start spamming threads and it gets nerfed. But for a week or 2 it will be really good
Regardless to try and skip around and say britain had nothing is just a lie even if the Gripen wasn’t a domestic jet it still was the best version for an update and has still received upgrades it blatantly shouldn’t have. You can say that Britain hasnt received a good domestic fighter but it is silly to just ignore that Britain was doing good with the Gripen.
Like Sweden we had nothing for 2023. Gripen was very good until they nerfed the hell out of it. Then it felt average to me. (and really boring gameplay) Then ARH was added, and it became one of the weaker top tier jets. R-Darter is really behind the curve.
Id much rather take AMRAAM on it than R-Darter.
Honestly suprised gaijin didn’t just give the AIM 120 to the SAAF gripen considering it got MS20 upgrades and will probably get more upgrades from MS20, who knows maybe gaijin will give it Meteor and IRIS-T when we move to that level of jets considering they believe all gripens are just the C model.
The SA Grippen will get the A-Darter probably.
Maybe, unlikely gaijin will probably upgrade it to MS20 but leave out Meteor since SAAF never used it. While ignoring that SAAF never bought MS20 and only MS19. Might be a pretty strong vehicle if they put it down in BR compared to other IRIS-T users.
Though i cant see Gripen C’s being competitive at that point without their EWS. The apex of the C is the NG and ive already had to try and stop two people from using NG reports for the Gripen C.
There are still a lot of unique WW2 planes to add, not even variants, but completely new designs, hell we are missing entire Caproni family( For example, this is my theoretical Italian TT with Hungarian/Romanian line:
One of the few prop aircraft I really really want
(will also be perticuarly good for naval)
They already said that country of origin will get initial vehicle first.
Not even slightly true, AV8B+
Now do we count if home nation and operator get them at the same time cause Gripen C was given to SAAF while sweden got gripen A so technically another case of that not being true.
Harrier country of origin is UK.
AV8B+ is a US model. Again wasn’t given to the US first. Additionally the AV8B is unique as it was made by the US.
Licensed production.
Won’t count.
Chances this won’t a bugged filled mess?
Id believe that if gaijin said it but they already have a hard enough time following their own rules so your statement means nothing.
