Storm Warning - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

I mean in theory, but I haven’t seen any mockups yet where they’d fit on the Ka-52, the Mi-24’s and Mi-28’s have been rocking them though.

In theory, the Mi-8’s can carry them too. Would be kind of fun for at least one of the Mi-8’s to get them, would kind of be like the USSR/Ru equivalent of the Spike UH-60’s.

In my humble opinion, the F-15I’s AGM-65D should have been introduced during the Firebirds update. It would have made sense then, both in terms of balance and relevance. Adding it now, when other nations are getting significantly more advanced counterparts like the AASM, feels like a missed opportunity. The AGM-65D is effectively dead-on-arrival in this context.

Furthermore, the power creep brought by munitions like the Kh-38, which has been around since the Alpha Strike update, only exacerbates this issue. It puts the F-15I at an even greater disadvantage, as it has to compete against far more capable weaponry without offering anything particularly new or competitive.

And that leads to the heart of the matter, uniqueness. What makes the F-15I any different from the American F-15E? Right now, there’s little to no distinction, and that’s a missed opportunity. Israel’s tech tree should highlight its indigenous weaponry and unique capabilities, giving players a compelling reason to choose it over the American counterpart.

The appeal of playing as a minor nation lies in showcasing its distinctive characteristics. The F-15I deserves better than being relegated to a copy-paste of its U.S. counterpart with outdated weapons. Gaijin should really start balancing the game in a way that respects both performance and the uniqueness of minor nations.

Well clearly the US should be on that list as they’re in dire need of the F-18.

Just ignore the nations who actually need a new top tier jet, what’s one more patch to be left behind? :p

Also I just want to ask why have a lot of nation’s been getting Russian/Soviet SPAA stystems such as the OSA and the Strella? With the OSA I understood some nations needed it, but now with the Strella its just gone a bit too far.

The F-15I is optimized to use precision guided bombs such as JDAM, SPICE and SDB but in the game it has no difference with the American one. Please let’s make the most unique aircraft for each nation with its differences and a copy and paste between nations

So the F-14D’s Aim-120s are completely valid to be added with this reasoning?

From their own country yeah, but for example a lot of people oppose adding new tech tree’s because their copy and pastes will bring nothing new to the game and will ruin a nations uniqueness, but then Gaijin goes around filling in everything with Leopards and Soviet SPAA, I just don’t really understand why Gaijin is duing it in the first place, like its just ruining the uniqueness of tech tree’s.

Kim Qui for US Costal, Phòng không T-34 for China and USSR

Absolutely, if not then why not make Israel a sub-tree in the US?
