This will hugely benefit paveway only aircraft like the F-15I or Tornado IDS (german/italian) and Barak IIs, personally I’m all for it
It’s hard to tell from the stream, I don’t know / can’t see what they’re pressing.
I just don’t think CAS needs buffs right now. If they’d limit this to air battles that’s fine. But literally advertising it as a means to easier spawn camp on the stream doesn’t fill me with any confidence.

I don’t think it’s a buff, it’s a QoL improvement. I find that it’s really easy to loose track of the battlefield from the air when defending so being able to create a CCRP point is huge. Also for air modes. SIM especially, being able to create a CCRP point via map click is something we’ve wanted literally for years. (Not all aircraft have CCRP HUDs)
So will check it out when I get home from work to check on the dev server

I fully see what you’re saying, and agree - it’s a huge W for SIM in particular.
Just in ground… If this works as i’m thinking it does, CAS can now, say, approach ground map hiding behind terrain, have pre-locked a position where they can see an enemy on the map, pop up, launch, and go back into cover again.
It’s just another impossible thing for our inadequate SPAA to counter.

Yeah, it possibly does that, but you can also just create a CCRP point as you pop up and have your camera facing forward instantly at the target. So it’s a marginally buff in that regard at best at the moment
