Storm Warning - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

Yeah I also went through the 5 stages of grief for this update and have now come to terms that we are getting yet another mid at best ground update.

I just have such a great time with the namer because it feels like I can just goof around and get away with so much absolute bs due to it’s survivability.

I was also at 2.3 a couple days ago, now I’m researching 8.7. Hopefully I can get close before the update releases.

Only worry is that there are some bug reports open that the F.3R shouldn’t have HMD, would be a shame if that ended up happening.

My expectations are low, but holy heck that’s low man. In no way, respectfully is this even a mid ground update.

Frankly, if you’re not a Western Europe main right now, it’s hard to feel like it’s an update at this point. Feels like a patch lmao.

Or, if you want to wait a few years, wait until Yugoslavia is added, then you can get both the Croatian and future Serbian Rafales.

Well maybe, but I might as well get started with French air anyway.

I think either you misread my comment or replied to the wrong comment.
There was no hate in my comment.

yea I meant IRL, not in WT

Even for western mains it’s mid at best, I wouldn’t even call it that.

M44 is eh whatever, Pzh2000 is okay, all the Strelas are boring, fuck the RDF/LT in general (yes, I’m happy that it’s not a tech tree vehicle), VBCI is 1.5 years too late, CV90 Mk.IV is alright I guess and the Namer will be gimped to all hell (no matter if I’m looking forward to it).

Quality/performance wise the only good vehicles this update are the HQ-17, BMD-4M, CV90 Mk.IV, Namer and Pzh 2000. Just a shame that the BMD-4M is premium.

I see, I was referring to in WT.

It seems like Ground has taken a backseat, while the last few updates seem to be revolving around Air.
Not surprised though.

Been like that for the whole year.

A depressing update to end a depressing year for ground.

On the bright side there will be some SAM stuff next year so ground will have that going for it. But I do think there’s still many aircraft yet to add compared to top tier ground so there will be some air focus for a little bit longer

We don’t talk about the F-16 derivative with a domestically-produced AESA radar.

The SAM buff will expose the significant balance issues between nations MBT wise, so I’m hopeful that Gaijin will also fix those issues when the SAM buffs cause the 2A7s/122s to stomp even harder again.

Out of curiosity, why don’t you like RDF/LT?

Instead of spending the time and resources on something that would help top tier US winrates, they spent them on something that will actively make them even worse. Which will also hurt top tier British and Israeli winrates by proxy due to matchmaker.

Even if they added it to the tech tree, it wouldn’t have done anything to help top tier US winrates.

It’s a light tank that is less mobile than most MBTs at it’s BR without the firepower to help it.

You think so? I do think it will nerf air power a bit but even then, it’s just a matter of who keeps spawning. I notice it’s not that for example, it’s not that the US teams have inferior tanks, but that they don’t have a lineup

The 2A7/122 are absolutely miles above every other tank in game, including the Abrams lol.

Currently the US, UK, Israel, France, China and Russia mostly use their more oppressive CAS to fight back because their MBTs are seriously outclassed. Now with the new SAM buffs CAS would be mostly kept in check/equalized, while the massive gap between the 2A7/122 and every other MBT remains.
