Storm Warning - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Hanging out with the Hornets.

Yeah, hopefully they don’t gimp AESA technology, as it’s much more than just a radar; it’s a dynamic system able to perform many functions.

Russian stream showed the X-ray and it said Thales RBE2

I’m just disappointed the F/A-18 is not coming… This update was a perfect time for F/A-18. Su-33, Rafale, Typhoons…

The UK is upgrading the T3s to T4 standard and adding ECRS.2 along the way, iirc the “prototype” already had the surgery.

You shouldn’t have gotten your hopes up, considering you got the F-15E last update

Blame Gaijin for throwing the F-15E in when it absolutely wasn’t necessary.

So they are adding AESA …but no F-2? ok they legit have no point not to add it now

Sure but it’s a game first and some of thise extra features don’t need to be modeled for gameplay as they wouldn’t be balanced or necessary

except if it wasn’t ready yet

Yes. RBE2 is PESA, RBE2-AA is AESA. BVV_d said its AESA but we will bug report it.

It’s not about PATRIOT or S-300, etc.

development time

Gotcha

Could also be wrong name so they’ll just change it to RBE2-AA

As if legacy Hornet would be better than the F-15E. Is the old F/A-18C really too much to ask for?

@Smin1080p_WT The IR-guided AASM is supposed to be GPS-guided and then switch to IR guidance in the final phase, from what I’ve seen in the dev server it seems that an IR lock is required for firing, is this an intentional limitation to limit the power of the weapon or not (I prefer to ask before starting bug reports)
