The Yak-141 was planned to be combat capable. The EAP wasn’t.
I legit had someone say something along these lines in the discord server of the squadron I’m in.
“I wouldn’t be suprised if we see the F-35 in summer 2025. US needs a new fighter to counter the Su-33 and Su-34.”
I had to re-read that 3 times and I still almost fell off my chair when I read it again for the third time.
