The 105 has CAS and thats it going for it. Im sorry but if you die in a Mig 15 at 8.0 in air to a 105 thats a serious skill issue. The 105 is only 8m3 because it has 2 missiles. Which might i remind you the cope for people thinking that the 105 is the best dogfighter is so crazy their are people who claim their F84 and F86’s cant fight back

Id say the gripen was a side grade to the GR.7 since 4 GBU-12’s vs the power of god that the GR.7 carried

it never had Gs or a working MAWs when the gripens were added never mind how bugged the targeting pod was
LITENING was bugged worse, anyway it still had mavericks, a thermal FLIR and plenty of CMs
Also tbf if we count both on launch then this is pre BOL nerf idk who had better BOL signature considering the Harriers in general are bonked with their heat sig

the FLIR has a very limited zoom and limited angles, never mind it being the reason the targeting pod was so bugged lol again im not saying it was a bad CAS plane but it was our best fighter / multirole until the gripen was added
Over the GR.7 id say comparing britain and sweden CAS wise yeah sweden had a bigger jump as they went from their best CAS jet being a trainer at 8.3 so sure Britain got a supersonic CAS jet but they had a really good CAS jet before so its a marginal upgrade over having a 8.3 as your best.
mfw the gripen has almost the exact same loadout as the harrier for CAS and A2A but is super sonic, has a radar, a far better flight model and a HMS
clearly this wasn’t a massive upgrade and only sweden suffered before the gripen came out lmao
