yeah pretty much the same here lol, I need to grind out the tornado F3 Late and the Tornado Gr4 but until gaijin realise that the brimstones arent these super OP wonder weapons they thing they are I cant bring myself to suffer through either playing the tornado GR1 and always being the last to a base, at a BR where everyone is using premium phantoms to grind or play the gripen against F15Es and F15Is that just doesn’t sound fun
they arent the vehicles i overly care for, my case for them is that if an aussie wants to use all of their vehicles in a lineup its impossible, they have to grind two trees for that and the canuks have to deal with three, its unfair to players that want to play their own vehicles.
this I do agree with, its just the precident that the AIM and CAN have for Australia and Canada in game. they are treated like a divorced couple’s children with how they are divvied up.

Material System or MS, the only nation to not buy MS20 or the upgarde to the gripen C is SAAF. MS20 added a new radar, Meteor mounting and other improvements alongside the ability to use GBU-39 gaijin didn’t know about MS stuff so we have all gripens with MS17 radar from ealry JAS39A with GBU-39 from MS20 SAAF should be the only ones not able to use it as they lack that specifc upgrade. SAAB always shows when they make a deal with a nation to uograde to MS20 and SAAF hasn’t had the money to upgrade yet for some reason they can in game. The gripens are some of the most fictional vehicles in warthunder RN just like the F16AJ
Gripens should be called like:
•SAAF MS19 JAS 39C
•HUN MS20 JAS39C

Try and watch a MIGan Fox 3 video, he is really good at demonstrating tactics for counter-META tactics with jets like the Mirage 2000, J-10 and Gripen, he is working on a british gripen video right now iirc

I say the Thai MS20 should be able to use GBU-39 as unlike the SAAF version they actually can use it. Thanks to most of the uniformed saaf gripen bug reports gaijin doesmt even know about MS20 so we essentially have all gripens in game as Amalgamations instead of what they should be.

yeah, ive seen a couple kills but that has only been at really short ranges and when the enemy are barely even on the map anymore, 9/10 its bomb tossing paveway 4s at pantsirs or PGM500s at tanks

Realistically they should have modelled it like an air launched Spike/PARS with longer range until rhe game is ready for IIR/mmW radar
Id say for this case Israel probably has better CAS than the gripen Nations so that again a balancing choice. I dont make the rules nor do i agree with a lot of the rules.
sometime im hopping for they add domestic stuff to minor nation than i remember 9 time out of 10 they butcher it and render it almost useless so i end up hopping for US armement.
Not really, they lack any form of Fire and forget missile whereas Britain, italy and sweden had maverick slingers, or something better in that timeframe before gripen
