It’s just that a lot of people here are overly nationalistic (look at all the “no my plane is infinitely better than your plane” arguments) or it’s just their favorite plane (these people are usually a bit more chill).

Imo at first the 122 was fair. It was better armor on the 122 or a better round with the 2A5 and 6

Leopard 2A6EX, Leopard 2A7+ just to name a few examples. The Leopard 2 PSO could also mount addon armor to increase kinetic and chemical protection on the front, similar to the one seen on the Strv 122s

At the time, however, there was no 2A6, so the 122 was just a much better 2A5.
