It’s a necessary evil to summarise chunks of the playerbase with such extreme tunnel vision that they relegate themselves to playing a single nation and will die on the hill that they suffer

Nah, I have 7 nations up to top tier ground.
It’s the people who only play a single nation by choice (people just not having time to grind a second nation is actually a fair reason) that usually post the stupid takes here. So I’m just going to call them out, sorry if it hurts their feelings.

Problem is Patriot/S300 at those low down alititudes and ranges is marginally more lethal than the Pantsir we have in game

seems balanced to me
except that either system would fill up half the map to function
both need:
one or more launcher vehicles (emplaced)
one Radar vehicle (emplaced)
one command Container/Vehicle (emplaced)
there is no combined version and they can not only not fire on the move but have to be fully set up to fire
this type of system isn’t sth that you just have follow your Motorised infantry units like a Gepard or Shilka, this is a serious logistical effort that takes planning and time to set up
those aint SPAAs, they’re Anti Air Missile batteries that require distance to the front to survive and function

I would assume most Gaijin employees are Orthodox and celebrate on the seventh.
So as a stop gap what if they where behind the airfield aways so they didn’t reach into the map…maybe set them so they only give 15km coverage past the front of the airfield. Until they make the maps much bigger???
if current CAS(12km moving target lock and 20km ground lock) don’t update, 20km SPAA is enough, and it’s better to be FNF. like Spyder, Sky Sabre, SL-AMRAAM, Type 625E, blabla
now we are close at Type 625E, hope we can get a full capality one with FB-10A
but then why use Patriot and S-300?
there are shorter range systems fit for that role like S-75 and MIM-23 Hawk
