The SU 27M is much better than the SU 27SM. Radar N011 bars, front horizontal tail, better engines. It would be about the same as the J-11B in terms of on-board electronics. It was a plane before the crisis, when there was normal financing. The SU 27SM is a super cheap and simple upgrade of the conventional SU 27

The only thing that will be outdated is the rws. In my opinion, the l150 has never been installed on it.
There were some tests done to fit it with different weapons, I believe they tested Zuni and APKWS rocket pods, forward firing guns mounted under the chin and a belly mounted turret from the AH-1Z.

The N035 would be too good a radar I think at the moment. We need something with N011 . Of the aircraft without a thrust vector, with this radar, I know only the Su27M. From other options, some kind of mig 29K/M with N010

The Venom is literally just a modernized Huey. Would be a nice option with basically the same armament as the more modern helicopters but without any of the guided weapons

I just feel like there is much more locations and scenarios a HSTVL can be useful than a 2S38.
That -17 degrees of depression vs -5 alone is a massive advantage.
