What exactly is the reasoning for F18E at 14.3 to still have to slog through AIM-9L and AIM-7P to get to somewhat usable missiles?

It makes very little sense given the new SU-30 gets R-73s are a tier two upgrade for only 10000 RP.
To get the equivalent on the F/A-18E you need to grind through the 9L - 9200 RP, The 7P - T2 10000 RP, and then in tier 3 you can buy the 9M for a nice 13000 RP.
And thats not even taking into account the modification requirements for the tiers, with such, to get a similar missile, a 18E player will need to collect 52200 RP to get there while a player grinding the new SU-30MKM only has to pay 19200 RP, its not even remotely a contest, its so much easier to grind the SU-30MKM.

It’s always been the same story on the Russia vs U.S stock grind of Top Tier jets.
American jets need to grind though slop obsolete crap, while Russian ones get them available at early ranks with no speed bumps.
