Stock APFSDS should be given to all 10.7 tank (especially western MBT), using HEAT is nearly impossible to kill anyone because not only Gaijin nerf the damage of the HEAT, he also add the volumetric, add a bunch of tank with ERA at 10.3 and sale a bunch of premium vehicle at 11.0-11.3, which making the environment of 10.7 is just pure suffer right now, now only you most likely getting uptier but you also can’t do anything even if you at downtier

Yeah, I personally don’t have a problem with stock HEAT below 10.0, but beyond 10.0, playing any vehicle is just pure pain. I really can’t find a reason for why stock HEAT is anyhow plausible to have there, because literally every single tank was designed around the fact that they’ll be able to defeat chemical projectiles. That’s literally like bringing a knife to a sword fight, you’re severely at a disadvantage against anyone or not even have a chance.
Because they doesn’t perform like this IRL, it just feel like Gaijin using the Sturmpistole damage model from Enlisted to all HEAT
Why western needed it more than others?
Because they more likely will facing the thing with ERA
Most things in that respective br has composite/spaced armor, which makes them almost immune to HEATFS and their protection against said ammunition type is almost equal, Abrams, Leopard 2, Challengers etc, their front armor can take several well-placed shots of HEATFS without taking any critical damage, if anything they all needed the stock dart equally bad lol
it’s simple really, the eastern tanks get 125mm HE which is kinda of on par with stock apfsds if you know how to use it. stock grinding any russian mbt with HE is a breeze, nato tanks dont get any good HE shells theyre stuck with subpar heatfs
