I’m sure it will be a fun ship. I wonder if she had been finished how long Stalingrad would have been in service for. Would had been funny if she was operating into the 21st century with VLS upgrade and stuff.
I think the rules allow for final blueprints for warships as with naval architecture there is no room for prototypes you get one chance but sister ships can have improvements.
I mean at least this one is vagiely grounded in reality (too bad it’ll get some mega stats and favourable BR)
Ok THEN WHERES THE BISMARCK SUCCESSOR
tirpitz?
I’m imagining something else
Will it?
SovetSky is 8.7
If it’s similar to the US auto loaded 8 inch cannon ships, it’s probably gonna be a 7.0 / 7.3
The definitely rejected it because nothing was made specifically for it and it was never laid down - it’s pretty simple… and yet so many people still don’t get it.
no, the next bigger one
I really cant imagine that “more powerful than the yamato” would be the reason or the sole reason for that, considering yamatos power, especially compared to the ship-that-shall-not-be-named. Powerful while being powerless
USS Voldemort
I remember hearing the (8.7 br USSR ship) in game is apparently an amalgamation of multiple plans
i said do not name it…dont wanna hear that stupid name anymore Edit: Lol thx for editing your post xD
USS Voldemort
USS Voldemort
USS Voldemort
It shall be named!
Seems like they pull the Soyuz again and gave Stalingrad a fairy dust-filled AP shell.

Mind you that this 12-inch gun somehow has better velocity and filler than the 16-inch shell on the Mutsu, and only has slightly worse penetration for its calibre, on top of better rate of fire.
So, I’m not sure if its “paper-thin armor” would help making it balanced, given that it sat at 7.7 BR.
It’s L62 caliber gun you comparing to L45
Actually Stalingrad’s gun has to be, and designed to be in similar as 16-inch as possible
because the ship itself was to be ‘CV escort’ what originally the role Soviet Navy wants for battleship,
So it becomes very distorted gun in reality. Barrel length is longer than American 16’'/45 on NC and SD class, and weight is also heavier too, while performance is worse.
Looks cool, but I hope they add H-39 someday
What the hell is H-39?
