ssao still shows up on my tank in game even though i have already disabled it settings and set gi to low
am i doing something wrong?
I’m not sure i understand, as far as i can see it’s off both in settings and in the image of the tank.
Could you turn the SSAO setting to different values, click apply and then take a screenshot of the tank with each setting and post here so that it’s possible to see the difference?
its the dark part under the tank in the image, or is it just like that when ssao is disabled?
SSAO controls the shadows that the objects cast on themselves, not the shadows that the objects cast on other things. So as an example if you are in the graphics menu, drag the SSAO back and forth and look at the shadow the tree on the right side cast on the ground.
I’m not sure you can control that area without also effecting all other shadows cast from all other objects.
It does change a little it seems like, you can open your screenshot here on the forum and use the left and right arrow keys to quickly switch between them to see the difference.

That might be because you have other shadow settings changed as well, such as the global illumination set to low for example. Not sure though.
