Alright. If I was going to use a helicopter for PVE and possibly ground assault arcade if I was feeling goofy, which squadron helicopter is the best? I’ve been comparing them on the wiki and I’m not sure, so I thought I’d ask some people with experience with them.
It’s prob best to pick from the nations you play
Which one is the best, that doesn’t answer my question. Just all round which performs the best in PVE and ground assault arcade
the cheyenne helicopter is pretty fun from the looks of it. Got tows for convoys and rockets for bases as well.
Which one is best depends to a fair degree on the crews you can offer each of them. If you can’t expert the chopper, you can’t fully use it, because you need a lot of rearms. And for this, you need the crews.
For PVE you want to be able to kill what the flock isn’t after. So you would want a chopper with the option to load all ammo types, including AA and solid base attack with either bombs or better lots of rockets.
And in case you have a small team, long range anti tank. I don’t know how well the AA of the russian chopper works. The US have no AA and china low base ability.
In PVE surviving is essential. Which means you want range with your missiles.
For PVE mode
I don’t have the Z-10A squadron, but I do have the ones from the tree. It’s very good with anti-tank missiles (which can also be air-to-air) and air-to-air missiles.
Missiles
AKD-9: 6 km range and speed: 340 m/s.
AKD-10: 10 km range and speed: 345 m/s.
A-A missiles: TY-90
AH-56A
It does NOT have Hellfire (8 km range), it only has I-TOW with a range of 3.75 km and a speed of 296 m/s.
According to your BR, you’ll be playing in the mode with all top-tier helicopters. And the AAAs are Gepards or ZA-35s with M-42s in the convoy, and with your missiles you’re very exposed.
Yes, it has many 70 mm rockets.
The YAH-64
It has up to 16 Hellfires (8 km range and speed: 475 m/s).
Mi-35P
It can carry Vikhr missiles (10 km range and very fast: 600 m/s) or Ataka missiles (6 km range and very fast: 550 m/s). It can also carry Igla missiles.
Superhind
Ingwe missiles: 5 km range and speed: 342 m/s.
I don’t recommend it, its missiles are very slow.
It is important that you have a crew that is well trained in weapon reloading speed.
I think the Mi-35P would be a good option, but both the Z-10A and the YAH-64 are good helicopters for this game mode.
No AA capability.
You can use Hellfire missiles (including AKD-9/10) as air-to-air missiles if you keep the laser locked onto the aircraft, but they have their limitations. For ground combat mode, the YAH-64 has no countermeasures.
