Squadron-Exclusive Emblem Decal System

Currently, Squadrons in War Thunder primarily provide progression through Squadron Vehicles and participation in Squadron Battles.
While these are strong incentives, long-term Squadron identity and visibility during regular battles remain limited.
Once players unlock Squadron Vehicles, engagement often decreases, and Squadron cohesion becomes less visible in-game.
A cosmetic system that strengthens Squadron identity without affecting gameplay balance could significantly improve long-term community activity.

Suggestion
Introduce a Squadron-Exclusive Emblem Decal System with the following structure:

1.Each Squadron may register one official Squadron Emblem decal.

2.The decal is usable only by active members of that Squadron.

3.If a player leaves the Squadron, the decal becomes unavailable automatically.

4.The emblem must pass moderation approval before activation.
Decal size and placement follow existing decal system limitations.

Implementation Details
・One emblem slot per Squadron.
・Standardized resolution (e.g., transparent PNG format).
・Content must follow War Thunder decal rules.
・No political, extremist, or offensive symbols.
・Manual moderation approval required.
・Report system for inappropriate designs.

Optional Monetization Model:
・Small Golden Eagle fee for emblem registration.
・Optional premium emblem customization slot.

Benefits

  1. Stronger Squadron Identity
    Members can visually represent their Squadron during all battles, not only Squadron Battles.

  2. Increased Recruitment Motivation
    Visible emblems encourage competition and pride, helping Squadrons grow organically.

  3. Improved Long-Term Engagement
    Provides an ongoing community-focused goal beyond Squadron Vehicle progression.

  4. Monetization Without Balance Impact
    As a purely cosmetic feature, this system would not affect gameplay balance.

Why This System Is Safe for Game Balance

+1! As a very active Squadron-leader of a Belgian-Dutch squadron I think this would be very cool to see.

Obviously with the huge amount of squadrons in WT this would bring large issues in possible moderation, I could imagine queues for moderation could reach long waiting periods.:

+1, would love to see my squadrons with unique decals. We have 5 squadrons now and keep competing with eachother in matches :sob:

Might want to add does not violate copyright but the GE fee should prevent people from dumping offensive junk into the request system for trolling or hoping something sticks by accident.

I would also add in a gift system like a decal code so people out of the squadron can get it but its to gift. First is a one time only like to a friend and second a permanent code if a squad just has a cool decal and wants everyone to have it. But there should be multiple shapes of squadron decals like circles, rectangle, etc. as long it fits in some general size but a lot of freedom for this should be allowed.
