Okay, I know it has already been reported and the actual direct glitch where Squadron Activity Points failed to credit after the new update (Seek & Destroy) has been fixed. However, all us players who had Squadron Activity Points lost have still not regained those points. It wasn’t our fault. This was Gaijin’s glitch that stole our points. I filed an updated bug report and the response I got from mPUGADA was, “unfortunately, there’s no way to return them.” What? So we’ve been permanently screwed by Gaijin, AGAIN?!?!?!?!?!? WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED BUT I AM?
Here is my suggestion. As with any agreement made between 2 groups, we act in good faith. We play according to the rules and expect those rewards from following the rules. If there is a glitch that Gaijin is responsible for and, as they say, “unfortunately, there’s no way to return them,” how about blanket compensation for all squadron players. The maximum points in a 3-day set is 360 or 120 per day. If it took 1.7 days to fix this glitch, how about granting all squadron players 204 squadron activity points (120 X 1.7). Now, this glitch lasted over 2 squadron activity periods. If the 1st ended 6 hours after the rollout of the update, then add back 30 points to the last period and 174 to the second period (assuming my wild guess of 1.7 days is an accurate one).
As far as saying it can’t be done, why not? All you have to do is 1) determine how long the glitch was depriving players 2) filter for squadron players who were in squadrons at that time 3) edit the squadron activity points as suggested.
I do realize this will mean squadron players who were inactive during that time will get credit for tasks they didn’t accomplish. Perhaps yet another filter can be applied for playtime within that zone. In any case, it would be a suitable penalty for Gaijin to shell out a few measly elecrons to credit that which was stolen from those of us who played the game in good faith. Please don’t let this be another case of Gaijin raping the players and then asking us to vote the game a “Labor of Love” on the Steam Vote like an abusive parent!
