Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been checking bug reports. Some of our grievances are being addressed. Smokeless P5, radar search zone, TWS ESA and P5 flight path have all been forwarded to devs. This ofc doesnt mean that it will get fixed, but it does mean the hard part is over. They at least heard our cries and are doing something about it. I hope one day soon we can log in and see the SPYDER become a fearsome SPAA defending the skies in GRB.
Heard our cries ? If they had tested the Spyder before release it they would have noticed that nothing is working …
Fire and forget missiles that don’t track ? Lest go !!!
Can’t reach a target farthest than 4km ? Lest go !!!
Radar not able to follow targets ? Lest go !!!
99.9% artists for 0.1% devs …
Hi @Smin1080p_WT
Sorry to bother, but I am slighly annoyed how the radar os SPYDER was handled.
That part was ignored in my report, but it was adressed in someones else report.
Radar elevation is denied, based on the fact that someone, i assume it is a developer
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/b8l0ywfvtEAt
denies the evelavion said in the brochure

Instead saying that flat AESA can have only ±45, so a limit radars like that had around year 2000.
Modern radars are more than capable of looking at greater angles
Examples from ECRS and Skyranger brochures

How are we supposed to convince that person that they are capable of doing more, when they ignore official manufacturer documents?
“Not a bug”
wow im sorry but thats tbh the dumbest response I have seen. both the brochure from Rafael AND the exMHR spec sheet lists the damn specs as being 90 degree in both azimuth and elevation… yet the game has it coded as a 65 degree limit on elevation so where is the other 25 then? because it sure as hell doesnt look below the Horizon line lmfao
@Smin1080p_WT Yeah below is the attached images for scan limits of the radar, its literally meant to have 90 degrees, this is literally coded as 65 with the horizon being the lower limit and 65 being the upper.
I would love to know what sources the devs pulled for this considering the brochure and the manufacturer contradict that already
Namer armor change was forwarded to devs ten months ago.
merkava one like 2 years ago lol
I got excited because I was looking at the reports and it wasn’t just accepted it had a comment that said it had been passed to devs. (Let me have hope dammit) And yeah Ik it isnt perfect on the radar, but giving us an extra -25° and better scan rate is a win
Yeah, that does suck. But maybe gaijin will actually do something with our bug reports. We can hope.
Gaijin wonders
spyder is the worst performing spaa out of the new added ones by statshark.
great job gaijin. keep doing a great job by not bothering to fix it.
The difference between IRIS-T and everything else is insane.
i love the fact that launchers death counting as one to stats can make gems like this
Sometimes the bait is too obvious.
spyder vs chappral.
i think we can all agree,
we would be happier if gaijin would just not add the spyder, to save the insult at least.
Wow just wow. Not only do Python and Derby have a hard time hitting a target below 6km (most missiles were fired at 3). However, the seeker on Python 5 is looking backward, or it sees its target but massively overcorrects, or simply flies off in a different direction? The Derby, on the other hand, sees its target but just flies straight past it when it decides to track.
“not a bug” is what they’ll say. Because if it isn’t Russian it doesn’t get fixed.
Well, the Pantsir has been suffering a bug for 7 months and it isn’t being adressed…
