The Python 5 irl has 2 more km of range than the R-27ET in-game. They could just tweak the range of it and it would just be the equivalent of the ET but just better performance.
P5 is very clasified we know only that it has 20km+ range and can bvr due to thrust adjusting and some secret tech to reduce drag

Well just gotta take on what we know to get anything. I mean there gotta be a few things in war thunder that are implemented with half of the stuff is known while the other half of it is still classified

My best guess is that we are getting the AIO Spyder ER so that we at least get a search radar.
Or the 2005 SPYDER-SR with a EL/M-2106 NG radar, Python 4 and Derby

I don’t see any reason to add the Python-4 equipped variant when all the others will have imaging seekers (i am not knowledgeable enough to know if they also use datalink like the python 5 but I wouldn’t doubt it)
Also don’t see a reason why it should be the SR with only a quad launcher when the chinese SPAA gets 8 + a gun

i agree with this its just stupid its like suggesting to be overclassed because we wanted that way when there is no reason to add less than a Python-5 having an IRIS-T and probably the SLAMRAAM with 9Xs and AMRAAMs “hey gaijin just hear me out dont add the Python-5 the 4 is great against an IRIS-T, we dont need something equal we are fine this way” bro its sounds so fkn dumb lmao.

Are the SPYDER’s Optics detached from the launcher? What I mean to say is whether the optics rotate with the launcher. Also, do the Pantsir’s optics in real life rotate with the turret?

Irl probably not but in the game it might be
Pantsir is the same u dont need to look at the target to lock it but u still want to aim at the target anyway so the missile could pull

Would the Python 4 be able to intercept munitions? It would need to ‘see’ the munition and intercept it, moreover, it has to be fast enough to get there before the A2G missile hits the target.
It rly depend on how gaijin modeled the seeker but for this kind of role i think the derby will be better
But if we get irist then we should get python 5 aswell and it can surly intercept things
Oh and btw there is ground versions of the derby and pythons with booster which can help alot but im doubt gaijin will model it and not just cp the stats from the ata version

What are the booster versions of both missiles called? There’s the I-Derby ER and the Derby ER or are they the Air-to-air versions?
Most likely not as it’s not a gun system, similar to stuff like the Rapier or Shturm-S
