Thats with dual plane, when it fires from stationary launcher it should pull 50-60G max which more than enough to kill anything.

In this version, all new SPAA except those with Japanese shareholders have a similar problem - extremely weak power. This directly leads to the fact that the strongest SPAA remains the Pantsir. Coupled with the newly added infrared jammers for the Mi-8 and 28nm that are more Brainless than an AT Field, it is hard for me not to consider this as Russian bias.

Just wanted to say cheers to all you submitting or contributing to bug reports to get this thing right.

Your works not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. Top lads, the lot of you.

I just hope the missiles get fixed. Right now a SU30/34 would have around 20 seconds after spawning to send their Kh38 before having to break off to avoid any incoming Derby-ER. Which basically means the presence of a Spyder generates zero pressure, they can calmly select targets and fire without worrying about the incoming missile.

Meanwhile if you spawn in a Rafale you need to break away instantly when you see the S1 on the RWR because you have like 7 seconds. Sometimes only 2 if they anticipated you spawning an Aircraft and fired before you spawned (something the Spyder can’t do).

Or to make it short: a 40km range missile only achieving 20km after 90 seconds is obviously a bug. I also want to highlight what that bug means for balancing (since it may be left in due to a wrong sense of balancing). The presence of a Spyder or IRIS-T should force the attacking jet (typically SU30SM) to adjust their playstyle.

I could be woefully misinterpreting this, but in one of the datamines above, didn’t it say Spyder would have LOAL?

Shouldn’t that permit it to do preemptive firing like this? (Not correcting you or anything, just curious if I’ve understood that wrong)

Afaik, LOAL means you can fire at a selected target from the TWS mode, without the IR seeker detecting the heat signature, but simply using the DL to guide the missile to the target until the heat signature is visible to the seeker.

I dont think LOAL means you can blindfire the missile.

That’s mean we won’t get I-Derby ER in this patch?

Sry for my english, it’s not my natural language:)

It’s just a visual model so nothing is certain atm

todays patch improved NCTR details, e.g. “mig-23” instead of “fighter jet” (or whatever the generic title was)

It’s the snail’s intention. They don’t want any other new spaa to truly threaten the dominant position of Pantsir and the leading value of 81c of Japanese shareholders after firing. I only hope those issues can be of some use and truly save irst, py5, and fb10a from the non - recyclable waste pile.

I notice the windscreen now has an actual texture to it. Was just pitch black before but now it’s all dusty with wiper smudges lol.

Edit - Oh, and the damage model off the radar actually moves with the tower.

Will it be the second strongest new SPAA in the next version?I think it is

Visually at least (and at most lol), it seems to be complete now, which means a potential devblog is on the cards going forth.

If we’re lucky, we’ll be able to see it tomorrow

Do they do updates on the weekends?

Apparently according to gaijin, python 5 has no datalink

It appears SPYDER sadly won’t get ER, but just I-Derby SR
