Rather, they are consistent with preserving current status quo, as all seekers have the same notch window.
You could do some mental gymnastics and link “improved ECCM” with chaff rejection (narrower seeker FoV, tweaked angle gating values) given chaff is earliest form of ECM, but it will be just that, mental gymnastics to warrant some buffs based on vague quote.
Then it will open flood gates, every other modern-ish seeker also likely would get this treatment and Derpys would relatively return back to square one.
SAMP-T somehow have 95 degrees of elevation, french are simply built different. Then ESA is limited to track radar only, no SAM have ESA search radar in game. New Panties SAM seemingly is crippled by its own missile fusing system - no proximity fuse, relies on tracking radar to give command to detonate, then missile sends shrapnel in a cone instead usual sphere akin to AHEAD rounds. That or score direct hit for contact fuse.
No? Isn’t some missiles like mica got 7 degree of notch window, bukm3 got 3.5 degree notch window? Especially air to air mica is the only missile with 7 degree of half angle sensitivity.
Notch window remains the same. What changes is demand for chaff, as missiles with narrower FoV any released chaff leaves seeker FoV sooner → missile resumes tracking sooner, assuming angle gating triggered correctly.
Pair that with average MICA being launched in your forehead within 10-15km, while missile itself has very high acceleration off the rail and is carried by one of the quickest airframes in game and you get perfect meta statstick to spook you before you get to defeat it properly.
Why only MICA gets to use it as far as AAMs are concerned, thats snail grade question.
