Actually to be real, when will the python 5 get its IRCCM? it’s got documents and or bug reports that dircm has no effect on the python 5. It’s even stated in public info. Exhibit A: https://www.rafael.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/python-Air-to-Air-and-Air-defense-Missile.pdf
where does it say it has resistance to dircm?
python 5 has IIR which DIRCM doesnt affect
And Python 5 is immune to DIRCM, found only on Ka-52, like any other “IIR” missile.
It is vulnerable to LDIRCM, present on Mi-28NM, Z-10ME and new Apaches.
Then posted brochure only says broad “infrared counter-countermeasures” which can be anything - flare rejection of whatever kind, home-on-jam against dazzlers, switching to inertial navigation or thoughts and prayers.
gaijin on their way of spending another tens of working hours on a vehicle they know damn well they wont fix
It was not promised to them

@F-16D_Barak_II you will probably have to make another bug report for the p5 wobble issue
It says it fixed but it doesnt seem to be fixed at all
where does it say its fixed?
huh… weird.
We can ask someone about it, maybe it was “fixed” (I know it’s still ass) and they didn’t include it on any changelog.

i decided to ask smin, waiting for a response, you can try and go support it if you want
I’m not even gonna bother
P5 is still not finished, it’s missing dual pulse and is probably artificially nerfed
Soon it may be fixed when other dual pulse missiles are added
You got a source for it being dual pulse? This is the first I’ve heard of that, no clue where you got that from. Other than a source or two saying it can have 80 second sustainer, but it’s nothing concrete and I bet it’s variable thrust control likely at play here which isn’t a thing ingame yet.
The only things holding it back are the possible lack of datalink and inferior tracking capabilities it has ingame. It may also suffer from not pulling hard/tight enough off the rail.
It’s supposedly been fixed for some time. Anyone wanna give it a few tests?
the last part idk, Magics 2 pull very hard off the rail IRL, considering Python 5 is a much more modern missile and has the purpose to have high maneuverability, i wouldnt expect less
this just seems impossible without a ramjet
That’s the conclusion I’ve come to, and other users who’ve come across it and dug into it believe it’s just a repeated misconception.
tested it today, nothing changed like at all
