Everything is over. The missile performance of all SPAA in the new version is even worse than that of the HQ17. The next version will still be dominated by Russia’s Pantsir and KH-38 (not to mention that the KH-38 has been strengthened), as well as the new infrared jammer of the Mi-28NM. The Russian Federation is truly great.

The current state of this system shows the true bias, it’s funny you refuse to nerf Russian equipment even when they are proven to not work in battle and you strait up nerf other nations of their actual capabilities. Pound for pound Israel would steamroll Russia irl lol
So lemme get this straight. The radar doesn’t work like it’s supposed to, the Derby doesn’t get its extra booster, we don’t even get the Python 5 and are instead given the Python 4 right down to the model a missile this system has never used which itself was nerfed heavily boh missiles have a 2km deadzone where they simply wont hit a target. While the Pantsir gets 2 buffs and the KH38MT gets a massive buff. Remind me again what the whole point of the update was if they were just gonna make Russian CAS even more powerful and gimp most of the NATO SPAAs they added. The only one in a somewhat comfortable state is the SLM. SLAMRAAM is gimped pretty hard and this is borderline useless. Cool and I guess this means that I won’t be seeing any sort of similar munitons to the FakeH38MT deluxe right? No popeye or SPICE? No Python 4 for my planes? No other Israeli PGMs just get hand me down American stuff that hardly works. Thanks for nothing Gaijin.

And thats only since the second dev server. First dev server version was essentialy glorified stinger.
Lets just hope Spyder gets fixed later this devblog or on live release, otherwise israel is still without top tier AA

Not much that can be fixed about it besides giving it Derby-ER, but according to Smin it would be stuck with Derby-SR as far as they knew.
So the Spyder is likely doa when it comes to being 12.0.
I was under impression that the Spyders Derby missiles inherited (ie. were copypasted) the weird loft from the air launched version which is what makes them bad in ground launched version?

The Derby also just has a low top speed and loses it’s speed quickly like the Slamraam and previously like the SLM. The Derby already drops below mach one somewhere between 7.5-10km traveled.
Beyond 10km it’s just laughably easy to evade the Spyder’s Derby, I just don’t know in what way they could change that without giving it Derby-ER. However if there are other ways I’m more than happy for Gaijin to apply them.
If Israel wasn’t stuck with the Chaparral I would have called the Sypder a waste of time.

I wasnt expecting that when gaijin said new top tier AA for israel, they meant its on par with current platforms, not the ones being added.
Thats just sad.

Python on SPYDER is much better now, one of the best IR missile IMHO.
If they make it a bit better (Data-link and PID with navigation) i’ll be happy

That is the main problem that Israel won’t be able to counter.

But now it’s better then past DEV Python 5.
If it will had 12-15km effective range it could deal with it
