SPO-30/SPO-32 L-150 Soviet/Russian Third Generation RWR 'Dead Zone' Issue

Ah so the one under the nose points both forward and backwards? In the belly photo you sent earlier it looked like only backwards.

Yeah, it seems that entirety of MAW suite is located around the cockpit.

Also on the tail, on the rudders.

Nvm I mistook them, they are RWR knobs.

Another interesting thing i’ve noticed is that SPO-15 top and bottom antennas location according to the 27SK manual.

Spoiler

Top one located right behind the cockpit and is pretty visible on most photos. (Gaijin modelled it flat, altough it seems that it is a bit bulbous)

But the interesting thing is that there is still something installed on some of the L-150 equipped airframes
Su-27SM (On some it seems to be painted over with regular paint, instead of radiotransparent one)

So it makes me wonder if they retained the top and bootom antennas from SPO-15 that just give you a warning without direction or not

There is something on Su-33 as well, but i can’t find older Su-33 photos without RWR for comparison

Su-30SM has something completely different in that place

Yep, according to this ‘skeleton’ of Su-27, there must be something on that spot, not just empty hole like access hole/ hatch or something. Though I haven’f found further proof.

well, under first spoiler i posted SPO-15 installation scheme from Su-27SK manual that @kizvy posted in Su-27 thread. And there is an antenna there. Can it work with L-150, however, i do not know.
