Maybe a Vb with deteriorated engines.
Like @Real_K_Soze said, they were basically given to the USSR after extensive first hand use.
By that time the aircraft was severely outclassed by Bf 109s and Fw 190s.
I‘m all for having Soviet „lend lease“ vehicles in the Russian tech tree.
Even though WT is just a vehicle game nowadays.

If the game had that kind of detail I’d be ok with it, but it’s just another statistic they need to look at to balance vehicles, probably not a good idea.

Technically they do because you can just not have the engine upgrade unlocked.
So when you never have a new engine the engine upgrade also doesn’t make sense.
Still a weird idea, they received new Merlin Engines and Parts for their aircraft through lend lease program, so even if they received airframes with older engines they were always able to swap them.

It’s not about needs but wants, it’s a historic piece that took its place in the Soviet arsenal, would sit great in a 4.7 line up with the T-34-57 (both), Su-100Y and a Soviet Churchill.

He’s arguing trophy vehicles from the post-armistice from Italy and the occupation of France which I personally don’t like to put in the same category as leased equipment, I don’t think Gaijin does either since they tend to add lease vehicles every so often and deleted tons of captured assets from the CDK years back, though those are added less frequently than leased equipment still.
