Spike Problem

Yes i will the next time i get a kill with one.
I actually guess it will show an horizontal heat stream because this is what i think is coded in, no matter the actual angle of impact.
But we will see on the screenshot

I did spend quite some time examining flight patterns of the ATGMs even before it became easy with the sensor view in reply, and Im convinced that the “heat explosion angle” is determined by initial position of the missile relative to the target prior launch, so lofting does not matter at all.

Missiles seems to be top attack if the launch platform has significant altitude advantage over the target, but it is just illusion and all missiles behaves like beam riders in this regard.

Yeah that helps sometimes but it still likes to hit turret cheeks which most tanks are immune to, Sadly this doesnt help with accuracy.

Huh I literally have never been killed by a spike but have eaten dozens of them.

I know it sounds dumb coming from a German main and in anything other than a light vehicle… but if you can identify that a vehicle is a spike carrier and have an idea that they’ve launched a spike missile, pop smoke to break the missile lock then drive out of it…

True but to guarantee a miss just wiggle hitting a light tank might have a 5% chance of randomly killing them so wiggling is best.

should be fixed. The SPIKE should have its manual guidance mode too instead of full auto

How many years will that be though…

We need fire-and-observe mode ASAP, or if not a reduction in BR.

Hello guys I have Q. I play new CV90 mk. IV with spikes … is possible manual lock point on tank ? Because when I lock automatically 8/10 is lock on gun barrel or other insignificant place … thanks for answer … Gaijin pls repair the Spikes :)

They buffed the spikes pen but not how inaccurate they are.

and is there a real chance that they will change it in the future? Thanks

Welcome to the Namer and Puma club, where we get an awesome weapon system that is the best at its category IRL, but all it does in a game is hit the MG or the track :)

this is not an engine limitation

for both hellfire and AGM-65 it is a result of poor modeling with neither of them lofting anywhere near as high as they should
