Spezialbombe 2500 (SB 2500 A1 and SB 2500)

Satan is awful right now, I’m generally recently have been disappointed by german bombs, because for some reason it seems like you need a direct hit with pretty much all of them, even 1000kg one, yet 1000lb bomb seems much more potent. Idk, maybe it’s just me.

I agree with this statement, the impression is that it is the German bombs that are cut in half

The 1800 was/is still nerfed. SC2500 is nerfed which is annoying, because I usually used it +1 BR and over and suffered with a nerf still…

I think all are filler nerfed though for ‘balance’…

No, not just you.
The thing is, the current fillers. While the German Bombs are heavyer, they are nerfed, by giving them the Cheap Filling with 1:1 TnTA, while the American bombs, have Fillings with greater TnTA.

It is disappointing specially after the devs choosing the worst filling fir these bombes instead of the better one Trialen 105

interesting, i never knew this.
i have an entire book in german about ww2 bombs. i’ll scan through this real quick.

Do you know if SB2500 will fit in the He177’s belly? Despite being smaller than the SB2500a1 it is still 1.25 dm wider than the SC1800.

Gaijin gave He177 custom loadouts and the maximum weight is >10000kg, so ideally it might be possible to bring 4?

Yes it should be able to carry two SC 2500, SB 2500 or SB 2500 A1 internally plus the ones on the wing racks of a total of four 2500 kg bombs if the bomb loud is 10,000kg.

1.25m you mean 125mm which is barely 12.5cm, the difference between the SC 1800 and SB 2500, SB 2500 A1 and the SC 2500 when it come to diameter and length is not very big it’s barley few centimeters and some bombers not all of them that are capable of carrying two SC1800 will be able to carry two SB/SC 2500.

Spoiler

This is a comparison in cm for better understanding:

SC 1800, L: 360 cm, W: 66 cm.

SB 2500, L: ‭369.3 cm, W: ‭78.5 cm

SB 2500 A1, L: ‭389.5 cm, W: ‭82.5 cm

SC 2500, L: 389.5 cm W of the body: 82.9 cm, W of the tail: 86.3 cm

=) it’s always been like that (I’m following the alpha test and I’m playing from the beta test)
The Russians do not want to lose their “greatness” because they themselves “won” the Second World War, that is why their equipment is the best and they will not let the Germans “beat” the “great” “Russians”

Sorry, i meant 12.5 cm. The SC1800 in its belly looked quite tight so I was worrying. Four 2500 bomb would be nice, but might be hard to take off given the current runway length~

It do look tight but the same can be seen in the Ju 288 yet it’s still capable of carrying two SB 2500 inside

Is it actually still coming? Was on Dev server but seen nothing in leaks for updates x:

I bought Ju288 just for this (not spamming air rb lmao).

Its in the official changelog from the dev server for the next big update so yes i do think it will be there

edit: okay yay! you are right, I can’t wait. The un-nerfed SC2500 was my favourite bomb of all, due to size vs weight vs effect… it was big enough to nuke a decent area but didn’t come with the lumbering bomber penalty of the larger stuff.

But this bomb was not always enough to punish the red occupiers and all kinds of Lancasters and Pe-8 Chauvenists
