Well the M22 historically couldn’t be landed intact but had to be flown in with its turret in another plane. On an airfield. Also your buddy would have to sacrifice a spawn of a glider to land your Tetrarch. Not super practical game wise.
It would be fun if air droppable vehicles could spawn anywhere on the map. But it should be random locations, just like IRL. So you might spawn in a building or in a boulder.
ooo thats a good idea have an ai drop you to apoximate spot and I imagined it would be somthing like a kill streak( but thank you for putting it into words), but I feel that it shouldn’t be as limited as just to your side of the map because when you are in the air you are an easy target and easily spoted so having even more downsides to a light tank that could get to the same spots on your side of the map pretty quick, thats seems too much
Thing is not every nation have an airdrop able tank so i envision it as if u have a tank that can be airdropped u piloted the plane from the airfield and once u are near the drop zone can let AI take over and have a marker where u gonna drop. Something like bombing in arcade with the bomb marker. Sorry if this sound a bit confusing.
I only limited it to halves of the map since u can probly land near the enemy spawn and basically spawn camp them at the start (pretty op ngl), plus most cap point are at the middle of the map anyway so it would be a massive advantage for the team that have them.
+1 for this, maybe have a limit on which maps it can be done on and have a limit to how many can do it per match so we dont get a squadron of m22s spawncamping /make it so you cant drop near spawns like with arty.
that is a better idea to have you pilot the plane till you get to the drop zone,
Know what I didn’t think of that, I forgot how mean warthunder players can be by spawn camping :(,
A) if vehicle would need to be dropped by physical plane, most maps are not exactly large enough for this to work. At top tier it would be practically impossible to land unscathed and unmolested by AA, at lower tiers you wouldnt be able to actually land undetected.
B) if you would simply spawn randomly on a map, i absolutely oppose this idea. Imagine you spawned AA, find position on map behind friendly lines only for a light tank to spawn on top of you out of nowhere and kill you.
All and all absolutely terrible idea, not to mention that some nations dont even have air droppable vehicles and absolute waste of resources that could be used elswhere.
Sorta does because obviously you’re wanting to debate issues and throw out straight dismisals, and yet you can’t front with your true account like the rest of us.
This could lead you to sockpuppeting your main, or any number of stupid things.
As someone pointed out earlier, and as the video I show at the timestamp it is set to, they’re already here… It’s just a factor of making something work with it.
Your coinwords of the ‘’‘’‘‘resources’’‘’‘’ is just you trying to be ‘’‘’‘‘intelligible’’‘’‘’, and your desire for ‘’‘’‘‘debate’’‘’‘’ will lead to mere post spam and back and forth.
I only dismissed the idea of random spawn, and also added why.
While yes, we already have airdroppable tanks, they spawn as any other tank on the ground, as opposed to, well, being airdropped.
Argument that implementing certain mechanic will take away resources from more important stuff is legitimate argument.
If there are 10 coders aviable, and it takes 8 coders to implement the airdrop and 9 coders to fix various bugs, then implementing the airdrop takes away the resources.
The fact that you have 1 battle, and are a fresh account, entering into such a ‘discussion’ with such an angle, shows you’re hiding your main.
It’s far from critical, and in fact, it’s misguided as you have no idea of how coding works, in terms of resources.
No, it’s a plain statement, and the fact I feel you’re hiding your main, and using this account to cause trouble, it could need looking into.
If you don’t understand branch development in this day and age, and the fact that someone could just literally make this happen, or make something to be the basis of such a thing as a tech demo, then really you’ve got no basis to try pass anything on about resources other than just parroting what people say.
I think it is a good concept and maybe instead of tanks being dropped without protection maybe they could be dropped in containers and like 2 tanks in 1 container or just solo in a container.
