Spanish (Iberian) Tech Tree

EMMM.
I am spanish but i do not see it.
Maybe combined with Argentina,Brasil or as a subtechtree will be introduced.

As you can see at the topic title is the Spanish “iberian” TT, that means Spain and Portugal. Spain as the main nation and Portugal as subtree. Argentina, Brazil and more can have his own TT too with for example Argentina as the main nation and Brazil as subtree. And adding these nations (Spain or Argentina) as subtrees for me is not fair. We already have Israel and China who yes has his own production models but they are more copy paste in tanks than Spain IMO. In planes is a bit different but even they have copy pasted planes but with other names so as i said, if we already have copy-paste “nations” in WT we can have Spain as a country in the game, Argentina and more

@ViktorKatona is there any chance of creating this topic updated in the suggestions part? I mean do you have the original tech trees to modify them and add the new vehicles of Spain to add it as a suggestion for the devs?

Right, with rumors of Korea being a new addition, I find it neccessary to revive this topic, because there’s so much potential for all three branches.

It’s a shame the original concept for a Spanish TT was lost, but just to add a grain of mine, I’d like to just briefly mention some vehicles derived from the BMR-600/625 platform:

Pegaso BMR-600 w/ twin 106mm Recoilless

BMR-600 MILAN

BMR-600 TOW

BMR-600 SIDAM 25

Pegaso BMR-625 VEC (Rheinmetall)

BMR-625 VEC (Oerlikon)

BMR-625 VEC (TC-20)

BMR-625 VEC (TC-25)

Pegaso BMR-625 VEC (H90)

And all this is ONLY for Cold War wheeled AFVs.

Developers shouldn’t waste this chance. The Spanish playerbase of War Thunder is pretty big, and the game could potentially attract way more players if they added an interesting Spanish TT (which would make War Thunder unique in this aspect), instead of adding 2 Premium vehicles scattered across other tech trees.

Korea is confirmed but so are more nations coming to the game

Almost non of the vehicle here native, this is simply uniteresting

Their is just no reason why we would need a spanish tech other than “I am spanish and want to play my own country”

How were you able to come to this conclusion if none of the tech tree links work? 🤨

Some people sent images, and I know for a fact all of spains major equipment today is either collaboration work or imports

Yes, many platforms we used were foreign (T-26, BT-5, M8, M24, M41, M108, M109, M55, M47, M48, AMX-30, M60, Leopard 2…)

…but we made pretty remarkable and numerous modifications out of them (just to name a few, Pz. I Breda, CV 33/35 Breda, M41 TUA, M47 E/M, M48A5, M48A5E2, AMX-30EM2, AMX-30EM2 SABBLIR, M60 Repotenciado…)

…plus other native vehicles (BMR-600, BMR-625, VCI Pizarro, VCR Dragón…)

…and other projects that could’ve become real (Verdeja, Lince, San Carlos, Rocío…)

I believe there’s a good mix of export and original/interesting vehicles just for Ground alone, it wouldn’t be like China or Israel where almost everything is either C&P or the same stuff copied over and over again.

The air industry would be more C&P, with some unique aircraft, and naval would mostly be modified US vessels, but still, I believe it’s worth it. There’s stuff to flesh, and it would make War Thunder the only game of its kind to have this.

This kind of interesting modification and project fits more has a sub-tree than a full on standalone thos, standalone makes trees less accecible if they are not meta or viable

I personally would love to see spain in my opinion

I’d love to see it if you ask me, mostly because I like to see the native designs and unique modifications, especially in the aviation tree.

Where would you even place that subtree? Italy would be the closest and they already got Hungary. France could be another choice but they already have BeNeLux.

Nowhere, their is simply no need for an iberian subtree right now exept for gaijin to sell a prenuim leopard 24S

But there is a community which does want to see an Iberian tech tree, why would the main selling point be instead a premium Leopard?

It would just be unhealthy for the game for gaijin to ad yet another copy and paste sub-tree just because people want to see their own country in the game

In the case it was a subtree, it would barely be copy-paste, since it’d allow for only the interesting and unique vehicles to be added.

However it’s Gaijin who we’re talking about, and just like they did with BeNeLux and Hungary, they’d add an entirely C&P subtree.

Besides if they’re adding Korea, what do you think they’re going to add? Practically just the K1 and K2.
