If somebody has those connections and can get photos of those tanks, I would appreciate it, but I’m not going to risk coming up on the fed’s radar by contacting persons inside of the Russian government or Russian defense industry Just so I can see what they looked like.

You got me thinking I was going to see tank recovery vehicles and bridge-layers…

Teasing me is WRONG… I feel baited by the topic…

XD

wait. there is a tank telegram channel?

Because I don’t want you to be disappointed.

If you want i can give you its address , you can use telegram own translator to translate contents in that channel .

Sure! That would be cool

I’ve never heard of the Soviets ever having an analog of the CEV or AVRE. In the 60s and even 70s they probably would have used a big assault gun like an ISU-152.
The closest I can think of is their family of IMR engineering vehicles. But they did not have a demo gun on it. Big line charges, but no gun.

Never heard of them before either, but when I was researching T-62 variants, I came across a couple of articles that mentioned the existence of both of them. Maybe they were one-offs, test platforms, or maybe they were limited run productions, but several sources online that aren’t wikipedia have mentioned that they existed. If I can find anything more than just mentions, I’ll certainly post them here.

OP is asking for a CEV/AVRE type of vehicle with a demolition gun like a 122mm or 160mm, not these tanks with regular anti tank guns. Has any actual info on these surfaced?
