Sovetsky Soyuz: Red Oceans

If you’re all the same squadron, run it unsquaded, you’ll all end up on the same side anyway.

Yeah sorry, there are ways to break the matchmaker. You found one.

Sound about right, 4 players squads are pretty rare in the matchmaker regardless if you are playing air, ground or naval, and the matchmaker will try to put another 4 player squad on the enemy team, or two 2 player squads to balance out the teams, so no surprise you were unable to find match then, even in air battles doing that gives you a very long queue time, only in ground you get a reasonable yet long queue for doing a 4 player squad, and you can turn it into a very long if you mix nations so the game basically gives up and creates a mixed nations match after some 10-15mins because it failed to find a normal team matchup under that criteria

your accuracy becomes worse the longer a game goes

They won’t model horrible accuracy, no way. Historically Kirov’s guns had about 30 second reload and awful accuracy, in game they are on par with every other ship in terms of accuracy and the reload is boosted to 15 seconds with untrained crew. Training the crew can decrease it further. Something, something, Russian bias.

I have zero doubt it will be an absolute monster on release with incorrect armour and a reload rate which its designers could only dream about.

It will be left this way for 6 months to a year before getting nerfed a bit.

should make it: “if timer hits 2 minutes 30s it’ll create a players vs bots match”

Thats it. Nothing installed. Just laid down. I bet it will be an ingame monster, with all of Stalins fantasies and dreams come true. While irl they couldn’t even produce cemented ship armor or guns which won’t be worn out after 5 shots. The barrel wear was insane, the concept never could have been realized.

30 minutes with a squad of 4 in naval playing the same nation

The B-37 took part in the defense of Leningrad, fired 81 shots and was not worn out. After the war, it remained in operational as a testing facility.

1-2 minutes playing solo in NAB at 5.0 - it only ever shows 4 or 6 in the queue then there’s 6-10 players per side in the actual game.

What does that mean?

This site mentions 111 shells made after the siege started and existing stocks had been used - 23 in 1942, 88 in 1943.

But only 33 fired - plus maybe 10 from “MP-81 installation”… which I can’t find any info on… 406-mm gun B-37: the king-gun of the Baltic Fleet

Edit - found 81 at another TopWar page - The main caliber of the Soviet Union: 406-mm gun at the Rzhevsky test site

Unfortunately can’t locate the gun at the Pugalevo artillery testing site - the site itself is easy enough to find on GE - Pugrevskaya artillery battery

Probably this one little bit south-west.

Cool - thanks - there’s a site on the artillery range that sort of points into that south-west corner but I hadn’t picked that up.

The fact that naval EC (the most popular naval game mode) isn’t available in both modes 24/7 is downright braindead.
