Sovetsky Soyuz is blatantly Overpowered

Shell explodes cause ammo hitbox have 500 mm thickness.

Same results if you aiming from the top near the modules - couple of centimeters left an shell will go through the hull into water, couple right and it will destroy ammo upper module(without even touching his VM) and then explode in bottom one, also without touching, instead of flying through the hull into the water. Yamato shells is best for that test cause they have bigger delay.

I personally think that the Pr.1124 Early and Late should both be moved up a little. They’re completely overpowered in a downtier!

It is a bit bizarre that the magazine being armored kinda contradicts your findings on the pictures.

However we’ve finally been able to show damage to the magazines before explosion, confirming that the damage models are actually larger. Why did gaijin bother to properly model the damage model to the visual model only on the aft turret is a mistery, and why the shell goes through the 500mm without exploding from the top and not from the side is also a mistery.

But now we have proof, i just wish gaijin wasn’t so vague about it, look at the mess we had to go through to figure this out. Everything regarding naval these days feels like we’re still living in the dark ages to be honest.

I’ve played maybe 3 or 4 matches in the last few months, i’m just not finding battleships enjoyable in the British tree after 6.7. And then the destroyer gameplay and stuff is cool but there’s been no new additions of relevance.

A nice cruiser of a niche type for the UK would be cool. The laid down Neptune and Minotaur classes would be nice, or even HMS Lion. Or a county class destroyer would be quite nice too, G3 for top tier or the Lion class BB’s would diversify it too. Just something really.

sorry bro the nation that couldn’t even build a decent heavy cruiser has to have the best fantasy battleship

Of course it’s overpowered. It’s a ridiculous supership made by a country that never had a good naval industry, that was filled to the brim with rampant corruption and industrial failure, and was also filled with communists. But of course, gaijin gets it’s peter puncher all riled up and ready whenever the commies are mentioned, so of course they had to make it OP. Are you forgetting what game you’re in or something?

Instead it’s survivability is one of the most terrible.

how this that even physically possible, you’re fitting 15 inch performance in 13 inches.

Magic Russian 12 inch shells with higher penetration and superior velocity compared to 16 inch guns.

Do you think the Laws of Physics apply to soviet vehicles?

If you think they do, you’ll have to find primary sources proving it

Their Coastal fleet is so OP for lower BRs!

Just add a Soviet version of the 2199 Star Blazers Anime Space Battleship Yamato at this point.

Nothing makes any actual sense, unless it’s a Soviet vehicle in the reality of War Thunder

In exchange, barrel is twice heavier compared to those of Alaska’s
while barrel life is about 25% shorter.

But won’t be a big problem for soviet navy at that time as their main theatre is Black Sea and Baltic Sea where need of long time voyage was not necessary.

Oh god. Where did they pull such magic this time? 305 mm with more pen than bloody 8.3 bismark (at closer ranges)? And both way more pen and TNT than japanese 7.7 battleships with 360 mm guns at any range ? XDD

Oh yeah lets look at primary sources how the ship actually performed irl. - Oh no it wasnt build. What a suprise. XDD

Soyuz ruined top tier lets ruin 7.7 now in case you didnt get full uptier with 7.7 stuff to soyuz kind of thing. Now all that is left is to find some random account of drunk soviet engineer that said “guys what if we put 400 mm belt on this design that we never gonna finish wouldnt it be funny?” so we can legitimize giving it 400 mm of cemented armour in game.
two men sitting at a table with cheers i 'll drink to that bro written on the screen

Ima stick with ground navy at this point I guess (IJN ka-chi). Nothing was done about magic soyuz or buggy Yamato and its bugs just got copy pasted to Musashi with not even changed ammo storages even tho it has a lot different secondaries they just changed numbers and called it a day…

Playing naval over 7.3 its just joke. Dont play that BR’s! I know, sound easy, and there are lovely ships… against russian fantasy unicorn stalinium ones… So My practice: start the battle under 7.3. Or start the battle 7.3+, watch the nations, if russia there, I stop the search and go for under 7.3. Dont feed unnecessary the fantasy unicorns… We have some unicorns at lower Br’s, but its a little bit more acceptable. Just a little…

Here goes Richelieu level of performance out of a 12 inch shell lmao

Theres an easy way out of this mess. Or more like…conclusions. Mine is to just not play it…Kind of an easy decision actually because why would i play a top tier battleship that ive put time in to grind and spade if its at exactly the same BR like another battleship with 4 times better performance, with numerous bugs that got reported since and even before its release and barely anything got fixed in 6 months? With the exact same repaircost like the ship that is 4 times as effective considering K/D? Why would I? Ive got better ways to spend time than playing feed the soyuz simulator.

Now you could argue, why would he even shoot there when youre angled away, why not shoot the unangled aft bulkhead and youd be right and that was exactly what i was hoping for (him to keep shooting my front). But didnt matter much in the end because i still got onetapped into my ammo from 16 kilometres by the soyuz’ SAP shell. At one point you just gotta realize you yourself actually are the idiot for still playing it.

but does it also have the richelieus horrible accuracy? You know, this is not just some random Battleship. Of lets say some random nation that built and actually had multiple of these in service and also in combat, like, lets just say france. This is a Battleship of the Russian Navy, you might have heard of those and, as everyone knows, that means it fires shells with probably half the weight that still can pen the same amount of armor, and because you have to believe this now it will be even easier to also believe that those still have twice the explosive filler of the other shells. But because they are way lighter, they can reload them quicker. And because of that they can also test them way more extensively in sea trials because they can just shoot more often. Which means they can dial their guns in better and test and improve the barrels way quicker than anyone else resulting in better accuracy than, lets say the Richelieu or the Roma. It goes full circle.

Anyways why does no one play Naval? /s (this is not an honest question, i already got some ideas)
