The SAP shells with boasting explosive mass and formidable penetrating ability. optimized armor for protection performance against the angle of the ship’s heading All the ammunition magazine located within subspace. It seems that the sovetsky soyuz is a creation tailored for gameplay in a game rather than being prepared for actual naval battle in reality.

Have anybody done any bug reports on this? That would definitely make it more realistic

The penetration comapred to navywep is way over the top.

Nawywep: 13,600m 406mm of pen at 25° inpact angle

In game: 15,000m 450mm of pen at 30° inpact angle
or 10,000m 514mm of pen at 30° inpact angle

That’s soviet WW2 railgun tech for you, surely there is no other reason for the barrels having such atrocious longevity

Also explosive filler ingame is 25.7kg, but because it’s A-IX-2 explosive type which is like over 50% more powerful than TNT you get 39.58kg of TNT equivalent ingame.

Soviet fantasy stats, and not just for guns.

Yeah, there is no way it has similar pen to USN 16/50 superheavy but more tnteq than 46cm guns from a nation that had one of the weaker allied navies

Yeah… As of right now SS is better than Yamato in almost every meaningful way, as well as better than Iowa…

The armor thick plates should be changed to lower quality one, and the guns apparently should have lower velocity which would reduce the pen. And magazines… no way they should be so small.

Even SAP on that thing is crazy high pen and with 88kg of tnt lol

88kg?!? Even the improved 80’s HC didn’t have that much filler (though idk how it translates to tnteq)

At this rate if they add an HC for SS it’ll be more powerful than Mk23

Where they found this?

I suggest that the few of us who still play naval battles boycott the game until the Soviet ship is properly balanced.

Well
In msgs above there also “фугасность” - “explosiveness?” Maybe that could be pure value for tnt equivallent

Lol this explosion type was developed in 1940-1942 years.
How it can be in shell 1928 years??
And this question for Kron and more.

only 14 dec 1941 started testing a-xi-2

So the shell is from 1928?
If that’s true then yeah it shouldn’t be using A-IX-2 explosive type if there’s no documentation.

Yeah, and that’s a SAP round with over 600mm of pen at 1000m. Crazy stats on everything.

The test gun was used during siege of leningrad and new shells were manufactured during the war from what i read. So there would be acces A-IX-12 to put into the shells

This ship is just ridiculous. Adding ships that were never completed is the bar, I get that, but to make them the best ships in the game for their category? That’s just pernicious. The Kronstadt is already bad enough, but the Soyuz is just a blatant insult to naval players.

I was really looking forward to the update, but if the Soyuz is this good and the Roma is this bad (no concrete foam, unbearable RoF for the main guns) there really is no reason to do the naval side for me. I understand Gaijin’s desire for realism, but to hold ships that were built to the letter of the law, but then let ships that were never done be impossibly good is just a mockery of that.
