I’ma be real with you guys and make the arguement far more simple.
If R73 is added and AIM9L is the best we get to counter, the capability gap is huge for all nations.
If R73 is added and AIM9M is added, the AIM9M is slightly better but the gap in capablities is negligable or minimal.
At this point - would you rather a giant gap favoring USSR or almost no noticable gap favoring NATO?

Maybe… but 100% sure R-73s are coming, and on a platform like the Mig-29. Its still going to outclass the competition. And does nothing to address the issue that 2 nations in game stiil only have 11.3s
Problem is Russia is using an outdated air doctrine. Ukraine is doing better even with their older Russian jets.

Theres no point in actually getting upset until it all goes live. 73’s were in the trailer for the 29 in Apex Predator and in the dev as well as having actually unflareable 27T that were nuts, once on live the 27T’s were worse than 24T and there were no 73’s. Things can and often do change

Why is it not a valid argument? People love comparing Panthers and Tigers to Shermans. No one discounts German armor being superior. That argument only comes up when US equipment is superior.
Hungarian tanks does nothing for Sweden or Britain air. Or any of the other trees in game both air and ground.
