It isn’t, it gets IRCCM and a smokeless motor, it’s an upgrade over the AIM-9L but not definitively better than the R-73.

They will claim “dev it’s subject to change nothing is final” but we all know what happens the patch goes live nothing changes. Some of the stuff in games has remained unchanged on vehicles for years leaving them broken
9M may be a little bit better than R-73 (is it?).
R-73 is SIGNIFICANTLY better than 9L.
The same way R-27ER, let alone now R-27ET, are SIGNIFICANTLY better than AIM-7F.

Df105 is on a marder hull. Not the same at all but okay. If anything the tam would be a decent example but it went in the german tree.
You do know that many airframes that the US developed went on to be Widely exported and modifed so will show up in other Tech Trees to fill gaps where needed, even those that didn’t exist on anything more than paper, like the F-16AJ.
So its not as if the US is going it entirely alone, or that issues that impact them only impact them.
