Theoretically, every vehicle has the weapons necessary to kill any other. That does not mean that it’s balanced for everything to stay the same while more powerful vehicles are added. The MiG-29SMT would still be better than the MiG-29A if the latter got R-73’s.

nobody doubts that it’s possible but simple possibility isn’t what balance is after, it’s about a fair fight and it simply isn’t a fair fight to give one aircraft R-60M even tho it pretty much always carried R-73 for “Balance” while another one gets them without hasitation
You can kill anything with anything, the Tornado is meant to be able to kill the MiG-29 and F-16, but that doesn’t mean it’s a fair fight.
I mean by his logic we really could just add the F-22 with AMRAAMs and because it is possible to kill it with a MiG-29SMT that means everything is perfectly balanced.
