I mean they’re either asking for a 1:1 C&P, a fictional German IFV or to move a Hungarian IFV out of the Hungarian tree and into the German one.

Canada already has root in UK so they belong their naturally.
KF41 would have gone to Germany if Hungary didnt exist ingame but now its there. Sorry.

If your argument is thast the KF41 should be on the German Tree because its an export vehicle, then why is the Hunter F-58 in the german tree? It would have been the perfect addition to the Britain tree to give us a better Hunter that we’ve wanted for years
Yes, there needs to be a clearly defined set of rules on this problem and yeah, maybe a KF41 onto the German tree as a premium in the future could be good, but i’d say its at the bottom of the list of priorities. Youve got by all accounts a decent IFV already, the Puma. Please look at other nations, like Britain who have none past 8.0

M1A1 Abrams for UK because it uses Chobham armor and I think thats silly and upsets my lil tummy to see another nation get the thing I wanted. Going to throw my toys out of the pram now because me no get what me want

I think the KF41 has its place in both trees, in Germany as its developer and to Hungary as its user
Except that Germany has vehicles they actually used that could replace it

Again you are missing points. While Hungary is operating KF-41 Rheinmetall is ‘aiming’ as you say to export it internationally.
As has been extablished it does not matter for the implementation of service vehicles or prototypes to War Thunder wether a government ended up selecting them for it’s armed forces.
Going on about why any given vehicle is not a service one is wasted time.
Leopard 2 PSO never was in service with the Bundeswehr either.
Not many people are saying the KF-41 should not be in the Hungarian tree.
I say the KF-41 is not needed for Germany in War Thunder or in real life.
But saying that it would be unreasonable if it turned out to be one of the many copy pasted vehicles in this game is not plausible.
I could only see it coming to Germany as an event vehicle.

- Britain also has the Hunter
- The overwhelming majority of German players never asked for a Swiss hunter in the German tree in the first place. And I bet most of us would support trading it off for any other equivalent German or Argentinian vehicle.
- No one is denying Britain of getting a better hunter even if the UK themselves never had an equivalent to the Swiss one, e.g Hunter FR.74S from Singapore.

Does anyone know if KF-41 that is used by Hungary is any different from German prototypes? If so add those to Germany and leave Hungarian variant for Italy, problem solved

the Lynx exists because the German Gov does not allow the Puma to be exported.
the Lynx is basically Puma Tech in a new body to go around the export restriction.

The KF41 was developed in Germany but wasn’t used by Germany.
If you dont want to think about service vehicles, thats fair, but for something like Leopard PSO - Its literally a german tank thats modified. Same as Challenger 2E.
It fits as Germany is the Leopard tank nation.
Same as UK is Challenger.
USA is Abrams.
KF41 has no previous ties to Germany, no adapted hulls or anything. Brand new vehicle, marketed to Hungary. So…it goes to Hungary. Thats about it, man.

A good solution but the thing is that KF-41 no matter the version is a vehicle designed by a German company. Adding Hungary as a sub tree for Italy is more sketchy than adding a vehicle to the nation of the producing company…
Except that like just the Lynx, the PSO, 2A6EX, Revolution, Evolution are all Private Ventures. they were never funded by the german gov.

The Bundeswehr and KMW cooperated on the PSO project and the Government was close to buying it but in the end went for the 2A7 which to some extend is a product of the PSo project as far as I can tell.
