If you ask me the Leopard 2E should go into the italian tree to help their top tier lineup and the PSO after the Leopard 2K and keep the 2A5 and 2A6 line the line for German leopard 2s in/were in service but I’m not Gaijin
If it does equip the ufp add-on, its not a sidegrade.
And honestly even if it doesn’t, it would still be an upgrade
the strv122 will still have more armor, apparently the ones in game have d tech internal hull armor, the PSO only still has C tech hull armor, combined with gen 1 gunner thermals etc
real upgrade would have been the PSO VT, 2A6 with PSO kit, better thermals, only bad thing is standard motor so would have been slower
If you compare the PSO with the 2A5 its still an upgrade nevertheless in any way you look at it
If you compare it with the 2A6 personally speaking i would rather have a .50 cal and better side armor against autocannons which always help, L55 doesn’t help anyway and you can see it with the Swedish Leopard that imho have a better round than DM53 because of the spalling.
With all of that being said, if it gets its UFP and better thermals its better without doubt than 122’s and 2A6.

Leopard 2 add on hull armor is nothing special tbh any leopard 2 can install it yep even Leopard 2A5 and A6 in the game can put on armor like that if need be just for some reason Gaijin don’t want to put armor package as modification for Germany (well but they did it for Russian) also there other version of Leopard with armor package too

F-16C Block 50 has 120
F-16D Block 40 Barak II has 200
The rest are unchanged

It’s a good point, Gaijin have shown so long as it should be possible they’ll make assumptions about features that help with balance.

Its at best a sidegrade of the 2A6. Slightly worse mobility and firepower for the 50 cal and some mostly worthless side armor.
