Yeah, IDK what they’re so upset about, all we were asking for is an AIM-9L with IRCCM so it wasn’t just Russia with an IRCCM missile.

the fact it is overperforming a little bit. you should be able to flare, change directions during that, and that should let you dodge it, except a lot of the times it wont even stop actively tracking as it should with a seeker thats… you know… not even turned on.

Yeah I highly doubt that the flare resistance stays like it was on the dev. I assume that they’ll tune it so that its a bit more challenging to flare than the R-73 but not nearly as hard as it is now.

Yeah and everyone expects that it will be nerfed before patch day, the devs themselves said it should have worse IRCCM than the R-73 and IRL it was pretty infamous for being unreliable

and thats why a lot of people are losing their minds. most people dont look into that. though to be very honest i also feel like there is a little bit of “here have this for these few days so you players will finally shut up” apparently its resistent to the sun too? which is weird

Need denial of anything else for britain so I can sleep until the October/November patch

Britain is definitely not getting anything new

Btw does anyone know of an additional countermeasures pod for the Soviets? The only stuff I can think of are the ecm pods.
Asking since I expect 60 flares (30 if you’re using mixed) to not be enough

Based on the fact that all of the user/test missions used to demonstrate the Python IV use the Python III visual model (and the fact that there isn’t an actual visual model for the Py4 in the files yet), it’s safe to assume it’s not done as of right now

Yeah, I’d expect it ready by December more than likely, maybe October if we’re lucky though, shouldn’t take as long as the R-73 as I think most of it’s problems were with the thrust vectoring

the true 2-OP

I sense no chinese fixed wing aircraft this patch. Might as well say hi to the DOA J-10A and JH-7A!

Would love to see the J-10A next patch, finally give the PLAAF some top tier air to work with.

What about the J-11? Would that also be DOA?

AIM-9M…with extra spikes. And bitchin’ Betty of course.
