It’s weird why the 9-13 and the German 29 will not get R-73s when the Germans had stockpiles of them after the reunification and were the reason why the West found out that the 9M is so outdated vs. the R-73

yeah its not better than any of those missiles, those have some decent range to play with.
AIM9X isn’t an equivalent it’s a missile with similar functionality. It’s significantly better than R-73. R-73M is the missile that’s closer performing to AIM9X.
