I would think the IRCCM in 9M is work in progress, no way it would be as good as stinger, then it would be OP.

as gaijin said, the 9M uses a different kind of irccm, it essentially shuts its seeker off for a little whenit detects a flare and makes it fly on a set course, basically INS. this means that just flaring a few times and changing directions slightly will already throw it off. at least, thats how it should work. no idea how gaijin implemented it rn but itll probably get turned into that at some point

the sad thing, current stand point, germany neither got access to r73 for mig 29 or access to 9m for the tornados at least

I mean we’ll see how effective it is, in theory it should have a 100% flare rejection rate if that was the case so I doubt it’s modeled exactly like that.
not really since its a pretty bad way to avoid flares, for the exact reason i mentioned. just drop a few flares and change direction, im pretty sure you dont even need to turn off your AB for that

but still about German MiG-29 don’t get R-73 well i expect that long ago that Gaijin don’t want German players to have it at the begin with and it gonna a lot of excuse they can pull of (and I don’t know did east german do really have better mig 29 that can use R-73?)
