Again specify your aircraft, you might not be experienced with russian aircrafts it has like 20 models, the Su-27P cannot even use R-73, its good on 11.7
Su-27P can indeed fire R-73s, that’s in-fact the only IR missile it can fire.
We’re not going to see an Su-27 without IR missiles.
R-73 came out in 1984 and the Su-27P is from 1982 how do you expect it to get R-73 ?
Su-27 itself was introduced in 1985, Su-27P cannot be in service in 1982 since no Su-27 was in service yet.
Unless you mean in prototype, which R-73 was in prototype during that year as well.
You mean Prototypes Su-27 pre T-10S? And R-73 was completed in 82, year the missile was put into service 84
Su-27P joined the VVS in 1982. You can see it with R-60M not R-73, very limited ordnance you cant put this on 12.3
For comparison this is a late variant Su-27K, this one can go 12.0+ it has the neccessary armament to survive.
Those 2 missiles are R-73s. Your missile identification needs some practice.
R-73 look different thats not the same.
dude, Su-27P it’s same plane what Su-27S but for Air Defence Forces, just without bombs and rockets
a major factor which can decide the BR
R-60M uses angled fins, and is significantly smaller.
R-73 uses rectangular fins as pictured in both photos you provided.
man, it’s R-73
Su-27 cant take R-60s
they can take it too, R-73 was not available in 1982.
If they cannot take R-60 according to you, why do they use R-60 here
Su-27 also like T-10-1 newer take R-60s it’s physically impossible
and R-73 available in pre series service in 1982
On this photo red layouts signed as r-60, but this early K-73 layout
And yet i posted a photo which shows they CAN carry them, its not impossible, the modern SU-30 is also using the R-60.
That is once again an R-73 missile.
You’ve only posted photos of R-73s.
You dont seem to have an idea how big the R-73 is…
It’s R-73
Left R-73 right R-60
You’re the one claiming an R-73 is an R-60M.
