Yes but Gaijin seems a bit looser with Sweden. Like them getting only trialed vehicles
I hope gaijin doesn’t release a new tree the next years. They already struggle to provid existing trees with vehicles they need and rather put more c&p vehicles in these trees. Next c&p subtree is already incoming with italys subtree. They should rather get unique vehicles from hungary and romania and not c&p only from hungary

there are actually a few nations that’d actually do better than nations already in the game like japan israel or italy
Japan is pretty popular amongst the surprisingly large Japanese player base.
What nations did you think of?
South Africa and United Kingdom isn’t an comparison to Korea and Japan.
S.Africa bought and used British military hardware and had mutual defence arrangement with the UK (1955-1975), this however isn’t the case for Korea and Japan at all.
Japan has militarily no connection to S.Kore, it would basically be the F-16AJ again but even more illogical, even France makes more sense then Japan.
Japan did however exported/donated arms to Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and had an old alliance with Thailand, so you got some logical options which will fill most criteria’s (AA line limited to 10.3-10.7).

and for the MBT side of things?
I know there isnt direct connect but like I said, its just to help Japan out as SK has a lot of unique desings unlike some of your mentioned nations

These mentioned nations all will provide Japan with additional 4-5 10.3 to 11.7/12.0 MBTs, crazy amount of CAS and additional light tanks.
It however still depends if players are okay with it.

So exceptions should again be made for Japan to receive something it has no connection to? Im not saying they shouldn’t receive anything but these mentioned nation still we fill Japan needs not every country can have anything, look for example at Italy even with additional sub trees they won’t have a proper Top Tier anti-air.

How so? There will be SA-8 (9K33) in case of Romania-Hungary.
It’s interesting that they still haven’t added the Osa to the USSR and German TTs.
Well, both already have top tier SAM, so if anything it isn’t a priority. SU should also get TOR variant someday.

I know exceptions isnt the best thing, but SK fills everything Japan needs and thier designs are pretty much all unique which is also great thing.
As for Italy they are getting Hungary and/or Romania to solve thier problems
i didn’t say japan wasn’t popular but that it struggles to be competitive in a lot of places. nations like poland, yugoslavia, czechoslovakia, the benelux or switzerland can be even better than those nations without resorting to huge amounts of copy paste like what most people believe
