Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

So someone remind me again pls.
Block 50’s radar should be missing the CW illuminator and can therefore NOT guide Sparrows IRL, right?
Im sorry if thats been talked over already, i blame the new god aweful forumdesign for not wanting to scroll for hours…

Well not a big deal
England one day Will have Su-30, Eurofighter and Rafale + the Hal Texas xd

They missed an opportunity by not adding the F-15 with its secret weapon.

How is the F-2 way too advanced when we have F-16C Block 50. The biggest reason the XF-2 was denied by players before (before the F-16AJ reveal) was that even with armament limitations, the flight performance would be too good for the then F-16As. Now that’s not a thing anymore.

AESA gets brought up, but there’s several ways to handle that. Armament limitation is one way, just bring F-2 with IR only. AESA doesn’t matter if you can’t use it. Though, correct me if I’m wrong, AESA doesn’t mean anything for the sparrows. Sparrows being still PD, they’ll still get notched and miss, even if the guiding aircraft, AESA or not, has a perfect, unbroken lock.

So really, the only reason I personally would think the F-2 or XF-2 won’t come this update is just dev work. They might have too much on their plate and/or still working on how to model AESA to fit War Thunder, whether that’s based in reality or not.

That is funny af

APG-68 use Pulse Doppler instead of CW to illuminate the target, Aim-7F and later sparrow dont require CW illuminator to be present but still can be guided with CW.

Source? I wanna show my friends

And what AIM-7 versions would that be?

I read it off the internet, haven’t find the source yet. Only an image i posted earlier

Later variant of AIM-7F, that’s all I know

Can you repost the image?
