I kept getting confused by the Mig-29SMT as most sources say it can carry both TV guided and laser guided weapons, but I can’t find any good info on what possible targeting pods it would carry other than that one French pod it was show off with at an airshow. Thaing is without a targeting pod Im not sure how or why it would be capable of mounting laser guided munitions except for buddy lasing

Well just by looking at the Mig-29SMT, it doesn’t seem to possess a built in targeting pod, and I really hope it didn’t have a lose guidance system like the base Su-25
that’s pretty unlikely, for a multirole airframe like that having the targeting pod built in would create added weigh, cost and maintenance time to the aircraft permanently, even when only being used for air superiority, it’s much better to just have a mountable targeting pod.

I forgot when exactly this list was rumored to be shown (because I only saw it here when it was shown on the same day the BB Texas was shown) but it is strange to miss the swedish tank
