Thaing is without a targeting pod Im not sure how or why it would be capable of mounting laser guided munitions except for buddy lasing

Well just by looking at the Mig-29SMT, it doesn’t seem to possess a built in targeting pod, and I really hope it didn’t have a lose guidance system like the base Su-25
that’s pretty unlikely, for a multirole airframe like that having the targeting pod built in would create added weigh, cost and maintenance time to the aircraft permanently, even when only being used for air superiority, it’s much better to just have a mountable targeting pod.
